Heart-centred, thoughtful support and presence for people and their families facing end of life.

Welcome to A Good Farewell – I’m glad you found this space. My name is Sarah and I’m an End-of-Life Doula and Educator.

This work matters to me because I believe everyone deserves to die with peace of mind, agency, and dignity. While we can’t always control how or when we’ll die, we can be intentional about our approach to dying. With support and preparation, it’s possible to ease the emotional, spiritual, and practical burdens that often arise at the end of life so you’re not carrying it alone.

I encourage people to have honest, unguarded conversations about death early and often so we can create more ease around it and begin to normalize it. When we come to terms with our mortality and life’s unpredictability – not just intellectually but in our hearts – we might we find ourselves living more presently and meeting our final days with equanimity and grace.

As an End-of-Life Doula, I offer holistic, tender, pragmatic support so that you (or your person) may die in a way that honours your wishes and respects your journey. While death can be difficult and sad, I hold a vision of softening its edges – making it gentler, and easier.

“You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die.”
